The traditional period of design is a very popular style. The traditional look is popular because its timeless, adding modern touches will allow this style to be bought into any style house. These tips will help you create a traditional bathroom but with a modern twist.

1. Tiles

Tiles can either be simple in color and shape to create a traditional canvas for the bathroom or for the modern touch you could have a more busy tile including a color, diferent shape or pattern on a tile.

2. Vanity

A traditonal vanity can be done in many ways. you could have a free standing vanity which is more tradtional or you could have traditional style wall hung vanity which gives it the modern twist.

3.  Accessories

Handles on furniture, taps, mixers, shower heads could be a traditional chrome or brass which are very timless or you could add a modern touch by bringing in some in trend colours such as rose gold, copper, or have different finishes such as brushed or matt.

4. Tap Wear

Traditional style mixers and taps are the go to fixtures. These styles look nicer with a tradtional style vanity and can either be heavily detailed or more paired back.

5. Colours 

Tradional bathrooms either have a simple colour pallette or one with a tradional colour pallet featuring burgandy or green for example. To add colour in a modern way you can style your bathroom with flowers, soaps, trays, candles, or towels in colours that are currently in trend.
